Fbi Job Openings Answers
which career would be best for me?
Q. i'm not sure whether i'd want to get a B.S. degree in criminal investigation and become an investigator and maybe even become an FBI agent, or be an air traffic controller. i like both careers, and i would lean towards the one that pays more, but more important than that would be the job openings these professions have. someone please help. which of the 2 routes should i take?

What job do my intrests lie in? I think it might be linguistic consultant...?
Q. Here's what I love to do: *I love patterns and figuring stuff out and how it works. *Though I'm not that great at learning different languages, I can pick up accents just by hearing someone say "I really really like ice cream a lot, and I'd eat it every day." *I can usually tell what foreign language someone is speaking, just by listening to them. Every language has a way they pronounce "r", "th", "w", "ch", etc. By studying these particular patterns in their speech, I able to differentiate one language from another. *I would love to help out the FBI or the CIA when they find someone who speaks an unknown language. Instead of bringing in 50 translators and sitting them in the same room with… [cont.]

My brothers ex wife has been going online to fill out applications using his phone number, what can he do?
Q. He has been getting phone calls for 3 weeks now from banks, colleges, job openings, anything you can apply for online. I'm sure this is some sort of harassment. He does not want to just change his number, it is a matter of principle. He called the police, they said to call the FBI. Has anyone had any experience with anything similar?

Job in federal law enforcement?
Q. I really want to get a job in federal law enforcement in an agency such as the FBI, DEA, ATF, etc. Doesn't really matter which one I get in to. I plan on studying criminal justice in college. And after that enter the world of law enforcement first on the local level, then apply to a federal agency once there are openings. Is this a good plan? If not, then what is a better one? Diana- the smartasssness isn't necessary

A. A Bachelor's degree is required for federal special agent positions (very few exceptions). Any major is acceptable, but Criminal Justice, Computer Science, Sociology, or Psychology may stand you in better stead. Those meeting the minimum requirements may not compare well to the best qualified applicants, and there are always more applicants than positions. The FBI likes lawyers and accountants, but they hire from various backgrounds, with at least 3 years of substantive employment ( Any responsible employment is acceptable, but law enforcement may be beneficial. Other federal agency job announcements should be available at https://my.usajobs.gov/login.aspx. The FBI in particular needs people capable of investigating major frauds and… [cont.]
